Need-to-Know Criteria

The CET Board of Certification does not develop or maintain an examination for the Radiation Protection specialty area. Inclusion of this specialty results from a request in the early 1990's by board of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT) to acknowledge Registered Radiation Protection Technologists in lieu of examination for this specialty area. It thus was the first "external" certification test recognized by the CET BOC. Subsequently, Certified Health Physicists (CHP) were also recognized.

Only RRPT registrants and CHP's are presently eligible for CET credentials in the radiation protection specialty area.
